7 things you should do in the morning before everything else. May 22, 2008

If you’re like me, you’d probably sleep ’till noon doing nothing. Sometimes I feel like I was the laziest person in the whole world. Sure I know that kills my productivity, lowers my energy and generally speaking makes me doing nothing important.

I just had to develop kind of a system, that would take me out of this. So here it is:

Every single day in the morning I do 7 simple things.

1. Wake up early. It’s hard to get used to, but since I’ve noticed that I’ve got a lot more time for myself and my freelance jobs before going to my office – I just made it a habit. Another thing that is connected with waking early is that I get much more energy, even if I’m a bit sleepy at first.

2. Get up immedietly. The longer I stay in bed, the harder is to get up. So get up early. It’s the same as with everything you do: don’t wait until the last moment – if you have to do something: do it right now.

3. Get dressed right after you wake-up. I mean I get up, take a shower, and get dressed. If I’m waking around the house only in the towel or somthing similar I just don’t do things I should do at the moment. I can afford this at the weekdays.

4. Open the window wide and take a deep breath. Feel the fresh air of the morning deep inside of you. It will help to open your “chakras”, clean your body inside and make you feel happier.

5. Take a look at the sky. Even if it’s not so beautifully blue at the moment just look at it. It will relax your eyes, your brain, and make you feel better. And btw. do it anytime you feel sad or upset…

6. Big, happy smile. If you feel good, that should be easy, but if you don’t just force yourself to do it. Facial muscles are tightly connected to the brain, so if you smile the brain starts thinking that you’re happy, then your body produces more endorfines (and other substances) and you in fact becoming happy. It works. Trust me.

7. Say Thank You. Say thank you to the world for this great morning and for this great day that’s ahead of you. Express your gratitude to God (if you belive in Him), and just say to yourself: “Thank me, for being such a happy and great person and for that I’ll achive all my goals set-up for today with such an ease and pleasure”.

These 7 essential steps you should do in the morning will make your day another great pleasurable experience.

 

3 obligatory steps you must take to start a change in your life… May 13, 2008

There are many blogs and books about living a better life. I won’t say that mine is different, but I’d like to share with you all my experiences. I just begin my way to happiness and personal success (yes… it’s not my first beginning, but this time it’s something deep inside of me).

I’ve tried many times to change my life and sometimes these were quite a promising beginnins, but now I need not only to start, but also to make it! I’d say I’m desperate about it, but it’s not a good word. I rather say I’m deeply convinced that I WILL (please notice the difference between “I can” and “I will”) go through all the way without any major mistakes and breakdowns.

I’d like you to go with me and that’s what this blog is about!

Ok. Let’s get to the point.

Here are the THREE ESSENTIAL THINGS everyone should do to step on his way to better living:

1. Make a decision!

Yes. I know it sounds obvious, but everytime I thought about making my life better I ended up with nothing more ’bout the dreams, sweet dreams… You can say to yourself “well… it’s time… I need to make a change in my life… I’ll do it…”. I did it so many times before. But since you don’t make a final decision it’s nothing more than just words. I mean it! So make a decision and make NOW! Literally now, while you’re reading this post!

2. Clean up your desk!

Every major change inside of you must start with the cleaning all the mess around you. You have to clean you desk, you room, your apartment, your relationships with people… Your inner-self. Start with your desk. The mess will always distract you and will stop you from taking an action. But remember: nothing comes “just because”, without the action and consequence. Do not expect a miracle (I mean that the decision itself will change your life), just start with little things. You’ve made a decision a few moments ago so now it’s time for you to stop reading this and clean your desk. Then please get back to this post ;)

3. Start writing a blog!

Just follow me. I’ve never done this before (well… of course I’ve got another blog and had some other in the past, but none of them was about my attempts to become better human being), but I feel (wrong! I KNOW!) that this is what I need to follow my own footsteps. If you wonder why I’ve got an answer for you: running a diary, day after day, will help you to see you growth and to keep going on. For sure you may write everything down in the paper notebook or scrapbook. The difference is that your blog will by exposed to the public view, right? Everyone can read it… This is what will motivate you and remind you that you have something important to do. That’s why I’ve started my online diary.

So start a blog and make a promise to yourself that you’ll post at least 5 times a week – leave one free day just for yourself and another one for any unpredictable situations. But this is an absolute minimum. If you can post 6, 7 or even more times a week.

All right. I hope It will help you (and me) to start a Big Change In Our Lifes.
